About
In partnership with Gurriny Yealamucka Health Service Aboriginal Corporation, this project focuses on two important areas of genomics: data storage and data security.
As part of the LINEAGE Study, the project explores how Indigenous community members feel about current storage and security practices in Australia, as well as what additional information and involvement communities would like.
A key part of this project is creating spaces for two-way learning, where community members and genomic data experts can come together to share knowledge, ask questions, and address concerns. This helps to build transparency and trust, while ensuring that Indigenous perspectives shape how genomic data is stored and protected.
