Position Vacant - Chair of NCIG Board
The Board is leading NCIG from a successful foundation-building phase into mature ongoing operation. NCIG is proudly playing a leading role in the emerging national collaboration that will deliver coordinated genomics research, data infrastructure and clinical delivery.
The Chair position is vacant and we now invite Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified professionals.
NCIG is seeking candidates with suitable expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Indigenous health
- Law
- Finance
- Indigenous ethics and research
- Fundraising and philanthropy
- Business management
To maintain the Board's Indigenous majority and as outlined in the NCIG Statute, the Chair must be Indigenous Australian.
We are seeking skilled, and committed applicants who can complement the Board's existing expertise in science, medicine, research, ethics, and community engagement and consultation with strong corporate management and risk management perspectives.
The requirement for a broad and sustainable funding base is perpetual. People who can advise and assist in our programs of advocacy and communication to government and supporters, and in strategies for fundraising, are sought.
