Professor Gareth Baynam is a clinical geneticist working in Western Australia with a long-standing commitment to improved Indigenous health care. Prof Baynam works to develop and deliver rare disease health care in partnership with Aboriginal health leaders and the community. Among current activities, Dr Baynam is a practising Clinical Geneticist, Medical Director of the Rare Care Centre and its statewide clinical service, a Clinical Genomics Policy Advisor at WA Health, Director of the Undiagnosed Diseases Program, WA and Chair of the Interdisciplinary Scientific Committee of the International Rare Diseases Research Consortium. He is a Co-Founder of Lyfe Languages, the universal Indigenous medical translator; and Founder of Cliniface which unlocks facial clues for diagnosis, treatment and trial monitoring and device applications.
