About
Lyndsay is a mixed-methods sociologist with a background in digital sociology.
As a postdoctoral researcher, she is working with National Centre for Indigenous Genomics (NCIG) researchers and community-partners to:
- Examine genomic data governance and practices;
- Identify and outline community perspectives on genomics, precision medicine, and genomic/genetic healthcare services and systems;
- Build informative and culturally appropriate/safe genomics/genetic healthcare resources.
Prior to this role, Lyndsay was a Research Fellow at the Centre for Law and Genetics at the University of Tasmania where her research centred on public trust, genomic data sharing, decision-making transparency, and waivers of consent.
During her time in academia, Lyndsay has also worked on projects relating to inclusive-healthcare education and practice, and community policing.
