Dr Bellingham is a descendent of the Wotjobaluk people of the Wimmera region of Victoria.  He obtained a PhD in genetics from the Universitiy of Melbourne and has extensive experience as a reasearcher and project manager in the fields of neurodegenerative disease, genomics and biomarker discovery.
