Dr Simone Reynolds



Dr Reynolds is an emerging leader in Indigenous health and one of the few Indigenous scientists in Australia.  She holds a BSc Hons degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Griffith University and a PhD from The University of Queensland.  As a student Simone was supported by the CRC for Aboriginal Health (now The Lowitja Institute).  She currently holds an NHMRC Early Career Fellowship in the Bacterial Pathogenesis and Scabies Lab at QIMR Berghofer.  Dr Reynold's research focuses on a family of scabies mite proteins that interact with a component of the human immune system called complement.
